Rakes progress...

The Spring sunshine brought out lots of volunteer gardeners today - and a few non-gardening but tea-drinking visitors, which was great.

We were given two redcurrant cuttings too - so now we can make a new fruit bed!

We raked over two meadow beds to make them ready for sowing on Tuesday - four more to go.

We weeded some more narrow beds, cut back part of the peripheral hedge, made a cold frame - and ate quite a lot of home-made muffins and some cherry-plum leather, as you do.

New cold frame on our new workbench - an old pallet on two trestles, made of waste wood from a skip. The cold frame was made from waste wood and some left-over polycarbonate.

Thank you to everyone for coming along and making it such a happy afternoon.
