The bulbs the gardening for health groups  planted last November are starting to perform, both in the beds and in some pots by the club hut.


We have cowslips, yellow primroses and also a couple of pretty orange ones.

Some of the existing spring plants are also in flower.

And we have the first signs of sweet peas and lots of early spring sown broad beans coming up.

It is fun to walk around looking for fat bulbs on the cuttings and young plants too - including the willow and dogwood cuttings.

The old bowling green area is looking quite dramatic - with the dark brown narrow beds and light brown sprayed beds against the grass. We finished the second of the two raised beds today - thanks to Carol, John and Eira!

And the wheelie bin water butt saga continued; hopefully, we have stemmed some more of the leaking connectors.
