Comfrey and more

We all love the garden!

We all love the garden!

Great Sunday group today - new people joining in and lots of others just enjoying the space.

We heard of a sighting of a muntjac deer in the garden, causing much excitement from some but groans from others "they will eat all our tulips" (if we had any)...

New bed for Bocking 14 comfrey - grown from root cuttings. Will be used for comfrey tea (not to drink) and also to activate the compost heap, which is getting two new bays.

We finally made a bed for the comfrey - thanks to Peter and Louise's hard work (not needing any interference from me).

We made wire pegs to keep the runners under control - so the hedgehogs don't trip on them?

We pegged down the strawberries and also gave away strawberry plants we had propagated.

And more champion weeding.

Lots of bug hunting from new visitors - very good catches of grasshoppers.

We made cardboard rolls and stuffed straw into the Mansion.

Marrow swapping. Laughter... very good Belgian chocolate cookies - hopscotch.
