Meadow looking good - for strolling (or anything else that is legal!)

A few of our Tuesday morning social walkers starting off their walk by strolling through the meadow. We finish off the walk now by taking tea (and biscuits) in the garden too. Do join us - 10.30 am every week - tea until about 12ish. All free, supported by Sustrans.

Our volunteer gardeners are overwhelmed by the response we are getting from park users to the meadow. Of all ages - from very tiny to those in their 90s. People strolling, skateboarding, cycling, scootering, reading, lounging, running around playing tag, sniffing the leaves of herbs, picnicking (not BBQs please), smooching (I tried not to look)... it makes the hard work very worthwhile.

If you get the Queen Edith's Community Forum newsletter (it was delivered through local doors this week), you will have seen our full-page photo - and several people have already said they got to know about us that way - and they like the newsletter.
